Plastic makes for an unsightly nuisance in the environment especially when waste management is not well handled. The oceans are full of toxic waste that is threatening life in the ocean due to plastic pollution. Many people enjoy the ease of which plastic has brought into their lives when ordering take out and storing things in their refrigerators.  However, few people give a second thought to where their plastic waste ends up. The manufacturing industry is the largest culprit of plastic pollution. The majority of the products are made using single use plastic packaging which is disposed of as soon as people receive their products since they normally can’t be repurposed.

At body by nature, we realized that when we sold supplements in plastic containers, our clients would dispose of the container as soon as the supplements were over. Clients would then buy another plastic bottle full of supplements and the cycle would continue. Many recycling bins are strategically placed within neighbourhoods and shopping malls. However, how sure are you that the waste is recycled.  The best bet in terms of waste management is ensuring that there are few products made of plastic and the need for recycling is reduced.

Body by nature has introduced innovative initiatives with the use of supplements no plastic packaging as its focal goal.  Concentration on ridding the world of plastic packaging has an impact on the supplement industry as well as a positive change in our clients. Consumers have come to understand the impact of plastic on the environment and are now more likely to opt for plastic-free packaging. The majority of the consumers have seen first-hand the impact of plastic on life in the ocean. They have been many incidents that have made news headlines all over the world showing dolphins, sea turtles, and other sea creatures choking on plastic that has been dumped in the sea.  The reporting has steamrolled the conservation of waste management. While covering the effect of plastic pollution on the environment and the health of people.

Consumers lead the change in the manufacturing industry when they opt for supplements no plastic packaging. This forces manufacturers to adapt to the market trends created by consumers. Consumers also have the power to advance policy in waste management and plastic production. Whenever there is a large outcry from a huge number of consumers, organizations, and people in authority tend to listen to their outcry. This is the power of social responsibility in play and businesses such as those in the supplement industry, can help agitate for change. They can do this by switch their packaging and forcing the manufacturing industry to change as well.

The government can also steamroll the change in the manufacturing industry by offering tax exemptions for the businesses that are completely green, organic and free of plastic use. There have been numerous studies showing the effect of plastic pollution on the planet. It’s the responsibility of every individual to ensure the planet is not destroyed by human activity.
