I was introduced to the vegan lifestyle by a friend of mine. He was diabetic and was forced into veganism because he had to live a healthier lifestyle. On the other hand, I lived healthily but I had never actually considered living as a vegan. I thought it would be too much of a hassle to become one, not to mention too costly. However, as I came to find out after a few days of trying it out, being a vegan was actually easier than I first thought.
Most grocery stores stocked ingredients used in vegan dishes. Others sold ready-to-eat vegan meals, or microwavable dishes. Even more conveniently, I was introduced to a myriad of websites that provided recipes for vegan meals. After a while, I could even whip up a vegan version of my favorite dishes in my own kitchen. I did have bacon in the morning; I could have a vegan bacon substitute for breakfast.
However, one thing that I noticed vegans lacked was vegan supplements. Sure, we could buy vitamin supplements and take them like everyone else, but with some nutrients, that wasn’t possible. Whereas I would have taken fish oil supplements before I turned vegan, I had no source of omega 3 and other essential acids as a vegan. Or as it turned out, I just didn’t know they existed.
I found that out when I attended a function where omega 3 vegan supplements were being promoted. The vitamin supplements were said to have traces of EPA and DHA. I tried them out to see if they would be as effective as fish oil. After about a month of daily intake, I didn’t feel much different. A quick look at the label explained it all; the supplements did not have the EPA levels I was looking for in them. Further research on my part led me to Body by Nature Omega 3 vegan supplements.
Safe and Natural
It is not easy to come by quality vegan supplements, which is why I was excited when ordering my first batch. I was impressed when my delivery was made the next day.
According to the company’s website, the Omega 3 vegan supplements are made from algae grown in a controlled environment. The controlled environment meant that the supplements were from a safe source and were, therefore, safe to use. It was also safe to use for people with numerous allergies ranging from lactose, soy, and gluten among others.
After sticking the recommended one capsule per day dosage for a few weeks, I did not see the improved vision and brain function promised by the company on their website. I did, however, experience the improved blood pressure promised by use of the vegan supplements. Furthermore, I had better stamina and less cardio stress during my workouts. I saw great results within one month of using these supplements that I had not seen with three months of using other plant-based supplements. I believe I will see the rest in a few months.
