Mohamed Salah is in a Race against Time

Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah was left in tears following a shoulder injury he sustained during the first half of Saturday’s Champions League final. It is only 14 days to the World Cup, and with such little time in hand, Salah faces a tough struggle ahead.

The Egyptian National suffered a shoulder injury in the 31st minute of Liverpool’s match against Real Madrid. He was pulled down by Real Madrid’s captain Sergio Ramos. Real Madrid emerged triumphant in the Saturday game with a 3-1 win against Liverpool.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp later confirmed that the injury Salah sustained was a serious one and that the club fears that he has dislocated his shoulder. The team’s physiotherapist Ruben Pons believes that Salah could face four weeks of recovery.

Will He Be Set For This Summer’s Tournament?

We may be worried about Salah making it to the World Cup in time and in good health but he isn’t worried. In fact, Salah is “confident” that he will have recovered in good time for the games.

According to the Egyptian FA, Salah is expected to be fully fit within three weeks time. He was flown to Spain for treatment on Sunday. The Egyptian federation confirmed that the 25-year-old player is in high spirits and is strong-minded on return quickly to the ranks of the team. He was accompanied by the president of the Egyptian federation, the team’s doctor and Liverpool medics.

The World Cup kicks off on 14th June 2018 with a match between the hosts Russia and Saudi Arabia who are in the first Group A. Egypt’s national team plays its first match against Uruguay on 15th June, that is just a little over two weeks from now.

Salah won the hearts of many and is considered Egypt’s favorite football player. His tackle by Sergio Ramos has received a lot of attention with more than half a million people signing an online petition asking FIFA and UEFA to punish Ramos for “intentionally hurting Salah”. We certainly wish Salah a quick recovery.

How to Recover Quickly Using Vegan Science

Injuries can take a toll on our daily activities. Take Salah for instance: he could stand to miss the most important world tournament because of a shoulder injury. Healthy eating, particularly a vegan diet, is one of the ways to hasten recovery from dislocations, fractures, tears, and other dreaded injuries. Taking up a vegan diet does not mean that you’ll need to eat less or start a whole new eating plan from scratch. All it takes is cleaning up your menu of foods that are processed or unnatural and stepping up your unprocessed, plant-based food intake. Your diet should be full of protein, fibers, vitamins, and minerals. A vegan diet will provide you with these elements that are crucial for faster recovery from injury and surgery and get you up and running in no time. Topping this with rich supplements will boost the effectiveness of the diet in your healing process.
