56 Days to Go; Will Neymar be Ready in Time?

Football Fifa 2018

With only 56 days left on the clock, Neymar is in a race against time to be fit for Brazil’s opening match in Russia. The 26-year-old Brazilian footballer said that he is confident that he will return to training and be fit for the World Cup. This is following a foot injury he suffered on 25th February. He hopes to be back on the field on 17th May, which would give him slightly over a month to train and prepare for the Games. Brazil will face Switzerland in their opening fixture of Group E on 17th June.

Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior, commonly referred to as Neymar or Neymar Jr. was ranked the most expensive footballer when he joined French club Paris Saint-Germain F.C. (PSG)from Barcelona in August last year. Neymar also plays for Brazil national football team as a forward.

Neymar’s World Cup History

The 2014 FIFA World Cup was held in Brazil. The Brazilian national, on home soil, helped the hosts defeat Chile and Colombia before he suffered a devastating injury that would bar him from taking the field in the 7-1 semi-final defeat by the ultimate champions, Germany. Despite being cut short by the injury, Neymar still finished third in the Golden Boot thanks to his four goals in the tournament.

Neymar, since his February injury, has not played in any game. Even so, he said that he has been having treatment every day and that he had an examination last week that showed everything was perfect and evolving well.

How a Vegan Diet and Supplements Can Heal You, Quickly

If you have ever trained or played sports, then you have likely had to deal with a minor or major injury and also the difficult journey to recovery. Even the best of players like Neymar Jr. have had such horrible experiences. A balanced vegan meal plan would play a big role in recovery especially after an injury or surgery due to injury on the field. Your plant-based diet should include vegetables, fruits, starches, whole grains, beans, and nuts and avoid animal products and processed or refined foods.

Protein is mostly responsible for promoting new tissue growth, wound healing and also preventing infections. When recovering from an injury, incorporating lots of plant protein such as nuts, beans, and lentils in your vegan diet will boost your recovery process and reduce downtime. In addition to the plant protein, adding protein supplements to your diet could also considerably help in your healing process. Supplements will provide your body with the extra protein you need to restore tissue and heal your wound. When you couple the benefits of a vegan diet with those of supplements, you will be able to bounce back from injuries in no time.
