I have 2 cats which are always going into the garden and eating my plants. I am sure if you have cats yourself this will be of no surprise. If you have cats which roam over the different gardens then the chances are they are eating from other peoples gardens and your plants are quite safe. Well because your cat needs to eat it’s greens just like you and I they tend to eat whats in front of them and that’s pretty much your house plants.
If on the other hand you have 2 indoor cats such as me, then when they set there eyes on your greenery they will jump at the chance to fill there bellies. Chances are they will then be sick. It’s never a good idea to let your cat eat your plants as some can be toxic to them. Because cats have poor detoxification mechanisms they don’t always deal well with chemicals and relatively benign things can be potentially very harmful to them.
Need a solution to this? Well I was told of a tip from a good friend who suggested that I buy some Spirulina tablets and when I feed my cats I should crumble a half into his or her food. Best with a bit of wet food and your cats will thank you for your good help.
Now you can buy these capsules or tablets from most high street shops and all over the net but I decided to buy from the best company I could find. Body by nature sold Vegan Spirulina tablets and my cats love them. I am sure you could go a cheaper route but like you I love my cats so I bought the best I could find.
