How many times have we been in male company and we hear one of our friends say those immortal words of “I don’t feel quite my self most days.” and all he gets back in cheer is a “Pull your self together, are you a man or a mouse?”<\/p>\n

Not quite what you would expect but that’s about how much time we seem to give each other. Even if our friend made it to the doctors he may be lucky and get an extra minute and that’s just not good enough.<\/p>\n
Most mental health issues are not caught when there could be a chance to help that person, so he or she goes on suffering. Some people don’t even mutter a single word until we hear about their death.<\/p>\n
It’s only then that we all shout out and say if only he or she had asked me, I would have helped them. But most of us are not doctors and have more than our fair share of issues to deal with like working long hours, kids and the normal every day stuff of just getting by.<\/p>\n
When and if we get the chance to speak with a doctor, and describe our complete horror at getting out of bed in the morning, or our lack of sleep or the last time we felt like we wanted sex, OH I really can’t remember. I just feel sad and don’t have any interest in life or daily activities even eating food. The basic things we all do each day without thinking about.<\/p>\n
The doctor has a pill for us because he recognises depression when he sees it. Depression is not this persons cause of their misery, just the name the doctor tags to it so he can place yet another person on medication.<\/p>\n
It’s merely the name every doctor places on a symptom. The doctor then treats this symptom with an antidepressant which for some people is only slightly better than chance.<\/p>\n
The cause of depression can be a whole multitude of circumstances, which vary greatly patient to patient. It could be a leaky gut, caused by Gluten that activates the immune system to produce antibodies against the Thyroid, leading to low thyroid function and depression.<\/p>\n
